Sofia's documentary on education policy reform and teacher retention, titled "A Heart for Teaching" won 2nd place in the western division. Especially impressive since last year Sofia was part of the duo that won the First place award! Also thank you to Metro Arts film teacher John Perovich for his support and assistance to Sofia in completing this impressive documentary. This is the 3rd year in a row that Metro Arts students have won 1st or 2nd place in this contest!

For his NJHS community service project Jackson decided to raise funds for scholarships to benefit the The First Tee of Phoenix.

The 1st Annual Performing Arts High School Dance Festival at the Phoenix Art Museum. Featuring work by Grace Gallagher and Liliana Gomez and the student's own site-specific piece.

We are proud that she has already made it into the top ten selection for the second year in a row!

Metro Arts dance teacher Nicole Olson with former students and current students who are all dancing in the Frances Smith Cohen’s Snow Queen produced by Center Dance Ensemble.

The 7th grade students all built volcanoes and civilizations as part of their science class. Then they erupted their volcanoes using a mixture of baking soda and vinegar and tracked the effect on their civilizations.

Metro Arts student Sofia Taglienti and 2016 graduate Dani Mock-Zubia won a Rocky Mountain Emmy Award in the category of high school student-Long form non-fiction for their entry titled: Rethinking Reform: Prisons in America
