Carter Lindsay and Trent Sandon win 2nd place in AZ Council on Economic Education "Stock Market Game"! Metro Arts Personal Finance class team of Trent and Carter placed 2nd out of 267 in the High School Region! Metro Arts as a school placed 2nd out of 18 local high schools for best rate of return (2nd place for making the most money overall). Congratulations to Finance teacher Janice Konderik for her excellent instruction that helped her students achieve this honor! On Friday, May 4th, Ms. Konderik and the two student winners will be attending the awards banquet held at the Phoenix Zoo.

Metro Arts Club Spotlight- "The Hope Club" The Hope Club meets every Tuesday after school to brainstorm ideas and plan future fundraisers. They raise money for homeless shelters and also organize clothing drives. This winter they had a coat drive and on Valentine's Day they sold flowers to raise money for charity.
Staphany Olalde (11th Grade) - 1st place winner of the National Society of Arts and Letters Modern Dance Scholarship Competition This annual competition is to celebrate young dance artists and their love for modern dance. Miss Olalde performed a self-choreographed solo piece titled “Begin Again”. We are so proud of her accomplishment!
Metro Arts students win prizes in two categories at the Arizona State Fair Metro Arts students won 1st prize in yearbook layout and 3rd prize for the cover design for the 2016-2017 school yearbook. Thank you to photo and yearbook teacher Stephanie Carrico for working with the students and submitting the entry to the state fair.
Metro Arts Teachers Choice Halloween Awards 2017 Another amazing display of Halloween creativity. This year we awarded special prizes for "Best Makeup" and for "Best Hand Crafted Costume" as voted on by the entire staff.
