Congrats to Sofia Taglienti who won a Rocky Mountain Emmy Award in the category of high school student-Long form non-fiction for her entry titled: A Heart for Teaching.

Just in time for the start of the new school year, the senior mural is completed and installed.

All the high school students and teachers form a long tunnel to welcome the 8th graders into the High School. The students run through the tunnel while everyone cheers and welcomes them as next years 9th graders and newly minted High School students.

Metropolitan Arts Institute Junior, Saragrace Palumbo, was one of only two high school students in the nation selected from a wide variety of applicants to complete a 5-week internship in Woods Hole, Massachusetts this summer. The internship is through the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Woods Hole Science Aquarium on Cape Cod.

For her honors seminar project Raegan was studying how current events affected clothing styles and fashion in the early to mid 1900's.

Metro Arts 8th grade presents "Still Life With Iris" by Steven Dietz. Performances on May 12th & 13th at 7pm in the Metro Arts Theater. Free for students, $5 for all others.

An incredible breadth of performances including dance, musical theater, vocals, guitar, ukulele, harp, performance art and heartfelt readings of Senior Statements.
