Metro Alumni in the News
Lots of unique handmade items great for gift giving. There will be photos, prints, resin jewelry, beaded jewelry, key chains, book marks, crochet items, painted tiles, ornaments, t-shirts, leather cuffs and much more. There will also be a shrinky-dink station where you can make your own shrinky-dinks! All funds raised will be donated to the Metro Arts Visual Arts Department.

Congratulations to Jahan Rico-Movassaghi and Zoya Page, who were accepted onto the Youth Arts and Culture Council through the City of Phoenix. It’s a civically engaged council of young artists from all arts disciplines who advocate for youth representation in Phoenix.

Metro Arts Personal Finance class team of Trent and Carter placed 2nd out of 267 in the High School Region! Metro Arts as a school placed 2nd out of 18 local high schools for best rate of return (2nd place for making the most money overall). Congratulations to Finance teacher Janice Konderik for her excellent instruction that helped her students achieve this honor! On Friday, May 4th, Ms. Konderik and the two student winners will be attending the awards banquet held at the Phoenix Zoo.
