The Hope Club meets every Tuesday after school to brainstorm ideas and plan future fundraisers. They raise money for homeless shelters and also organize clothing drives. This winter they had a coat drive and on Valentine's Day they sold flowers to raise money for charity.
Metro Alumni in the News
This annual competition is to celebrate young dance artists and their love for modern dance. Miss Olalde performed a self-choreographed solo piece titled “Begin Again”. We are so proud of her accomplishment!
Metro Arts students won 1st prize in yearbook layout and 3rd prize for the cover design for the 2016-2017 school yearbook. Thank you to photo and yearbook teacher Stephanie Carrico for working with the students and submitting the entry to the state fair.
Another amazing display of Halloween creativity. This year we awarded special prizes for "Best Makeup" and for "Best Hand Crafted Costume" as voted on by the entire staff.
Congrats to Sofia Taglienti who won a Rocky Mountain Emmy Award in the category of high school student-Long form non-fiction for her entry titled: A Heart for Teaching.
