C-SPAN Bus coming to Metro again to honor 1st and 2nd Prize winners Out of over 2220 entries, documentaries by Metro students won both 1st and 2nd Prizes in the Western division! Congratulations to the six students and to Film teacher Stephanie Lucas.
Arizona Student Film Festival Metro students Shelly Ortiz, Daniella Mock-Zubia and Nina Nandin were among the 20 finalists selected from students all over Arizona who entered his year's festival. They all received Filmmaker Passes and had their films shown on the big screen at the 2015 Phoenix Film Festival.

Congratulations 2014 Metro Alumni Shelly Ortiz! Metro Arts 2014 graduate Shelly Ortiz won the 2014 High School Student Production Award for Long Form Nonfiction Documentary.
This years Senior Film- a sweet valentine to the class of 2014. The film offers a nod to 80s film, music, and iconic moments and people (i.e. Richard Simmons.) A big thank you goes to the Metro seniors and alum who helped make this happen.

C-Span Award Ceremony and Film Viewing At this ceremony, representatives from C-Span will present the three winners with an award. There will also be a showing of the winning video, "Diagnosing the Problem". This event requires reservations and is only open to Metro teachers, students and parents.
