All-Female cast of Antigone to perform at Metro Arts. Presented by Now & Then theater company Antigone runs from May 3-19 at Now & Then Creative Company, performing in the theatre at Metropolitan Arts Institute (1700 N. 7th Ave.). Metro Arts Senior Sofia Taglienti won a Rocky Mountain Emmy Award for her film! Congrats to Sofia Taglienti who won a Rocky Mountain Emmy Award in the category of high school student-Long form non-fiction for her entry titled: A Heart for Teaching.
Outstanding Senior Coffee House by the class of 2017 An incredible breadth of performances including dance, musical theater, vocals, guitar, ukulele, harp, performance art and heartfelt readings of Senior Statements.
Congratulations Sofia Taglienti! Winner in C-SPAN documentary contest! Sofia's documentary on education policy reform and teacher retention, titled "A Heart for Teaching" won 2nd place in the western division. Especially impressive since last year Sofia was part of the duo that won the First place award! Also thank you to Metro Arts film teacher John Perovich for his support and assistance to Sofia in completing this impressive documentary. This is the 3rd year in a row that Metro Arts students have won 1st or 2nd place in this contest!
