Program Description:
Metro Arts has a refined and effective Students Services Department with an active RTI, SPED, 504 and emotional support programs.

Duties:
IEP Caseload 10-20 Students: Grade levels 7-12
Regular Education 504 caseload 10-20 Students: Grade levels 7-12
Records creation, review and management
Monitoring of instructor compliance
Assist with ADE ESS Reporting
Disability awareness training for staff and families
One on one and small group instruction, pullout and inclusion, in-class monitoring and teacher assistance.
Assist Student Services Director as needed
Provide emotional support to SpEd students

Requirements
Qualifications: 
BA in Education with Emphasis in Special Education
Valid Fingerprint card
Valid AZ Special Education Credential (Learning Disability / Cross Categorical with SEI)
Experience required (Student teaching is applicable)
An interest in the Arts and working at a small school

Candidate Description:
The successful candidate will be able to balance the required functions of special education records creation and management and teacher monitoring with effective interaction with students, teachers, staff and parents. The candidate will have excellent communication and management skills, be detail oriented, yet be able to see the larger picture in terms of policy and school wide goals. The candidate will be a team player and an effective advocate for IEP, 504 and RTI students. The candidate will be able to take direction well from the Director of Student Services, and yet be able to make a creative and insightful input based on his or her expertise and experience. The candidate must have a respect for the arts and a general knowledge of the arts. Knowledge of a specific art form would be a great benefit but is not required. Understanding of and compassion for art students is essential.
