Course Description
The Middle School Science Curriculum at Metro Arts is aligned with Arizona State Standards. By the end of 8th grade students will describe how stability and change and the process of cause and effect influence changes in the natural world. Students will apply energy principals to chemical reactions, explore changes within Earth and understand how genetic information is passed down to produce variation among the populations. Student investigations focus on collecting and making sense of observational data and measurement using science and engineering practices. The goal of this course is to help students strengthen their ability to work with the investigative process and analyze data to form conclusions, while exploring a rich array of phenomena in preparation for 9th grade science courses.
