Science 7 (Period 4)

Course Description

The Middle School Science Curriculum at Metro Arts is aligned with  Arizona State Standards. By the end of 7th grade students will have explored how forces cause changes in motion and how energy is transferred in geologic, atmospheric, and environmental processes. Students will have investigated force and motion in a wide variety of systems, model how heat energy drives cycles in weather and climate and explain the structure and function of cells.  Students will learn by a combination of  traditional assignments and investigative techniques. This allows them to gain the background knowledge they need while exploring our world with the depth and inquisitiveness of a scientist. The goal of this course is to help students strengthen their ability to work with the investigative process and analyze data to form conclusions, while exploring a rich array of phenomena in preparation for 8th grade science courses.
