Congratulations Sofia Taglienti! Winner in C-SPAN documentary contest!

Sofia's documentary on education policy reform and teacher retention, titled "A Heart for Teaching" won 2nd place in the western division. Especially impressive since last year Sofia was part of the duo that won the First place award! Also thank you to Metro Arts film teacher John Perovich for his support and assistance to Sofia in completing this impressive documentary. This is the 3rd year in a row that Metro Arts students have won 1st or 2nd place in this contest!

Metropolitan Arts Institute was recognized with a School Choice Leadership Award for 2017 as Arizona Celebrates National School Choice Week

Held every January, National School Choice Week is the world’s largest annual celebration of opportunity in education. This year it is January 22-28th. Excellent review of "Peter and the Starcatcher" performed by Brelby Theatre

Brelby Theatre is a community theater company run by Metro Arts Middle School teacher Brian Maticic. The reviewer states "As Black Stache, Brian Maticic is a feast. His physicality is tremendous, as are his voice and bright, expressive face. He is hilarious and charming, worthy of Alan Rickman's quintessential Sheriff of Nottingham. It's impossible not to love him."

Metro Arts theater teacher John Perovich is also featured in the review:
