Jennifer (Jenni) grew up in Los Angeles, California where she discovered her love for reading and writing at a young age. As a child, Jenni spent her free time writing fiction. When she was in high school, she discovered her passion for teaching when she assistant taught at a Montessori school. Her mother and father instilled in her a great desire to learn and make a difference in our world.
Jenni attended college at the University of Arizona in Tucson where she earned a B.A. in Creative Writing. During her semester abroad in Barcelona, Spain, she participated in an assistant teaching internship where she taught English as a second language. Being a city girl at heart, she loved exploring the vibrant, metropolitan city of Barcelona. On the weekends, she marveled at timeless artwork in museums and visited magnificent cities, such as Budapest, Prague, Copenhagen, and Madrid. Jenni is forever grateful for the opportunity to travel and learn many valuable lessons abroad.
After graduating, Jenni fulfilled her dream of becoming a teacher and earned a Master’s in Secondary Education from the University of Arizona South. While completing her graduate study, she enjoyed student teaching and conducting an action research project. During the past few years, Jenni has continued educating children and has absolutely loved sharing her innate passion for reading, writing, and history. She enjoys analyzing literature and engaging in meaningful discussions with her students.
Jenni is an advocate for social justice and finds it important to use her voice for good. In her free time, she enjoys journaling, meditating, hiking, fashion, and spending time with family.
Jenni prides herself on helping her students discover their unique purpose and accepting every person as they are. Metro appreciates the fine arts and provides a safe space for children to explore their distinctive creativity. Jenny believes that it is tremendously important to teach children the importance of honoring our authentic selves as well as working toward our full potential as individuals.
