Course Description

This course is an introduction to the fundamentals of creating music. Students will explore what music means to them, while learning basic elements of music such as rhythm and pitch. This knowledge will be used by students to create a class composition by the end of the course. The goal of Exploring Music is to expose students to the rudimentary skills necessary to understand and create music, as well as develop an appreciation for music in general.
